1000TRIES is a free browser game available at 1000tries.com.au, made by The Cast Patrol. We collect very little data, accounts are optional, and we do not sell your data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the game is played, including pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and in-game interactions (for example games started, games finished, wildcards used and shares). This data is collected automatically when you use the site. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense to help keep our games free. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings, or opt out of some other companies’ personalised ads at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads or ad cookies are used. Podcast Player
The home page includes an Acast player for The Cast Patrol podcast. Acast may process technical data when the player loads or plays. See Acast’s own privacy policy for details.
Playing as a Guest
If you play without an account, we do not collect your name, email or any personally identifiable information. Your game history and sound preference are saved in your own browser only and are never sent to us.
CAST Games Accounts (Optional)
You can create a free CAST Games account to back up your game history and see your stats across 1000TRIES, 27-0 and other Cast games. Accounts are optional and are for people aged 13 and over.
Sign-in. You sign in with Google or Apple. We never see or store your password.
What we store.
- Your email address and a unique account ID, received from your sign-in provider. Your email is held by our sign-in service and is not stored with your game data. With Apple you can choose to hide your real email.
- Your date of birth, which you tell us. We use it to confirm you are 13 or over, and to keep betting advertising and partner offers away from anyone under 18. It is private to you and never shown publicly.
- Your email preferences: whether you opted in to CAST Games emails, and separately whether you opted in to offers from our partners (including betting partners, 18+ only), and when.
- Your fan profile, if you choose to fill it in: favourite NRL team, country and state, gender, and whether you listen to The Cast Patrol podcast. All optional.
- Your game history and stats for each Cast game you play while signed in (for example the mode, score, result and the players you picked). This includes games you played on the same device before signing in.
Where it is stored. Accounts use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Game data is stored in Google’s Sydney, Australia region. Google processes this data on our behalf.
Who can see it. Only you. Our database rules only allow each account to read its own data. We never show your email publicly, and we do not sell or share your personal data.
Audience insights. We use combined, anonymous figures (for example the share of players who support each club, or come from each state) to understand our audience and to show sponsors who plays our games. These figures never identify you. Your favourite team, country, state and podcast answer are also sent to Google Analytics so we can report on them; your date of birth, gender, name and email are not. Your first name (from Google or Apple, or typed in by you) is kept by our sign-in service, shown only to you on your CAST Profile, and not stored with your game data.
Emails. We only email you if you tick the opt-in box. Partner offers are a separate choice, only for people 18 and over, and are sent by us: we never pass your email to partners. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch either option off in your CAST Profile at any time.
Your choices. In your CAST Profile you can download a copy of your data, sign out, or delete your account. Deleting is immediate and permanent: your account, game history and stats are removed. You can also email us to ask for access, correction or deletion.
How long we keep it. Until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
Hosting
1000TRIES is a static website. Standard technical information (IP addresses, browser info, request logs) may be processed by our hosting and CDN provider for security and performance purposes.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above reflects the latest update.
